#ootd The Art of the Teese
As I'm sure you are wondering what I wore, here is a quick run-down! Sorry for no great full outfit photos but the lighting situation was tres blah. Will have to improve!
As you saw on the other post, I decided on honoring Dita with some half-moon nails in black and gold which helped me frame out my color-scheme for the evening.
Because my bestie and I were seeing Dita, I made sure to wear my MAC matte "Von Teese" lip and my vintage gold and pearl earrings
Sadly not featured in any photos is my Guess black leather peplum top and Gap black slacks. I wanted to accentuate the feminine shape of the time but was also aware that we had standing tickets for at least two hours!
To top off my accessories was a pair of black and gold kitten heels from Anthropologie, my favorite Rebecca Minkoff clutch and my most favorite vintage-style fur coat (as pictured above).
Although my bestie and I were dressed to the nines, I got some serious #ootdenvy from all the fabulously dressed patrons! From all the beautiful a-line dresses to the bodycon slips to the beautiful shoes to the coiffeured hair to the amazing cat eye liner. I was so in love with the silhouettes, that I went home, dove into "Your Beauty Mark" again and bought a daywear garter belt. So... I guess stay tuned on my adventures in trading in tights for garters!
